Here are our recommendations:

1/2” leashes are light weight and typically meant for small to medium sized dogs. Because 1/2” width is so lightweight all our long lines are made in this width.

3/4” leashes are a little stronger than 1/2” leashes making them great for medium and large sized dogs. A lot of people like the bigger width because they feel it gives them more to grab onto when walking their bigger dogs.

At the end of the day, it’s mostly personal preference. Which leash width do you prefer?
